• Firmware Loading - iConnectivity

  
  Please use our Auracle X software to load firmware to your iConnectivity interface.
  Note: Each interface from iConnectivity may have a different USB port for loading firmware. Please check the article below to find out more.

  A firmware update can be accomplished in Auracle X from the firmware page.
  
  
  Use the Firmware page to inspect, update, or rollback your interface’s firmware version.
  
  Updating Firmware
  1. Connect a computer with the Auracle X software to a USB DAW port on your iConnectivity interface. If you are plugged into the wrong port for firmware updates a popup will appear informing you of the correct USB DAW port to use.
  2. Connect to the internet to download the latest firmware update from our website OR
  3. Click Choose File to select a firmware file from your computer’s file system.
  
  Otherwise, use a web browser to navigate to https://iconnectivity.com/firmware and select the interface you have to download the latest firmware to your computer. Be sure to note the location of your download (usually your Downloads folder) and return to the Auracle X Firmware menu page, select ChooseFile, navigate to the downloaded firmware file and follow the prompts to install the firmware.

  
  Firmware Load Failure

  
  If you ever see alternating lights on your iConnectivity interface, you are likely in bootloader mode and needs to load firmware properly to your interface. Lets look at some of the best ways to load firmware to your iConnectivity interface 

   

  
  Option 1 - iConnectivity Firmware Updater app 

  
  Download the app by clicking correct folder below.

  Instructions: If your device is already in bootloader mode please skip to Step 5

  
  1) Open Firmware Updater Software
  

  
  2) Find your interface by click the Search button. You must be connected via USB DAW port for firmware loading.

  
  3) Select your interface in the list.

  
  4) Click Restart Boot

  
  5) Once you see the alternating lights on the front of your interface you are in bootloader mode. Please Click the Search button to find the device in bootloader mode.

  
  6) Select your interface in [Boot] from the list.

  
  7) Click Get Settings

  
  8) Your page should look like this. You will see the Enable Timeout checkbox be checked.

  
  9) Click Select File to be able to select the firmware file. ( iconnectivity.com/firmware )

  
  10) Select the most recent firmware file you’ve downloaded from the iConnecitivty website.

  
  11) Notice the Firmware file name by the File text.

  
  12) Click the Start Update button

  
  13) Status should show starting update. You should see the restarting light sequence on the front of the interface. Device will show alternating bootloader lights  and loading lights.

  
  14) Let the software and interface do it’s thing. After a minute or two the update should be complete. The status should now say Update Finished

  
  15) Click the Restart App button to restart your interface into normal operation mode with the new firmware loaded.
  
  
  This completes the firmware load and your device should be started in normal operating mode without the alternating LEDs on the front.

• Muting Outputs | PlayAUDIO Series

  How to mute and unmute the back outputs on your PlayAUDIO12 and PlayAUDIO1U.

  
  PlayAUDIO12 - Double click the Main knob on the front panel. Muting will be indicated by flashing red LEDs alternating from the top row to bottom row on the front touch display.
  
  PlayAUDIO1U - Double click the headphone knob on the front panel. Muting will be indicated by flashingflashing red LEDs in the AUDIO section of the OLED display. You will also notice Xs under the audio channels on the Home and AUDIO pages on the OLED display.
  
  Note: Muting the outputs on the back will not mute the headphone jack.

   

  Reasons for muting outputs.

  
  1) Being able to check your session without sending audio to FOH (front of house) and into main speakers.
  2) Monitoring at home or live without using main speaker systems

  3) If someone triggers or plays the wrong thing, this will give time to stop the wrong audio from coming out and time to change to the correct thing.

  4) If any bad audio comes out from corrupt data or problems in the session. In newer versions  (after 1.1.0) of PlayAUDIO1U firmware we have enabled automatic detection and muting for this possible issue. This is important to help save the ears or our musicians, teams and audience.

   

  PlayAUDIO1U is muting my outputs, why?

  The PlayAUDIO1U, after firmware 1.1.0, has a feature enabled to automically muting the back outputs if requirements are met for the tone check. The tone check feature monitors your failover tone channel (channel 15) for excessive audio levels. A threshold is set  for the maximum level and if that is exceeded it will mute the outputs. Depending on your setup and gain staging you could run into this issue without wanting it to. If you do, don't worry, it is fixable. 
  You can disable or increase the threshold using our Failover Setup App but the best option is to simply take the level of the track in your session down until it doesn't automatically mute. Once you decrease the level use the unmuting method noted at the top of this article. If it doesn't unmute, the level is not yet low enough. Adjust until you can safely unmute. The tone track does not need much level to arm the automatic failover.
