This method is similar for both Mac OS and Windows. On Windows you will be looking at the rtpMIDI app instead of the audio MIDI Setup on Mac.
- Open Audio MIDI Setup on your computer by spotlight searching it.
- Select the Window menu dropdown and make sure to open the MIDI Studio window, as that is not the default option.
- From the MIDI studio window select the Network Config page with the globe icon in the top bar.
- If you look in the bottom left corner you should see the directory box. This will show all the Network MIDI ports in your current network.
Unless you've given different Bonjour Names to your RTP ports they will often show in the current format.
[interface name][space][last 3 of serial #][dash][number of the RTP port on that device]
ex: mioXL 0D1-01 for RTP port 1 on a mioXL with the serial # 0D1 at the end.
Note: If your RTP port is in Initiator mode it will show a [i] in front of it.
If your RTP ports are showing here, we are in a good place to start connecting things.
